Paving Stone Gravel is the most basic form of paving materials. It is better than parking on dirt but is still very messy. This is usually just a temporary solution to parking. Concrete is another solution for parking. The problem with concrete is that it cracks over time. Saw cuts alleviate some of these problems but cracking and spalling are inevitable. Paving stone is the most desirable solution. Properly done, it will last many years as a driveway. If repairs need to be done on the driveway or under it, the pavement can be re-lifted and re-layed again as a new driveway. Recent advances (polymeric sand) have made pavement much more resistant to sand wash out, weeds and ant problems. |
